Common questions about leads management.

Why is my lead showing as a duplicate?

Leads are identified by their ZoomInfo Person ID. If you try to capture someone already in the system, it’s flagged as duplicate. This prevents double-counting.

Can I merge duplicate leads?

Currently, the system prevents duplicates rather than merging. If you need to update a lead’s information, find the existing lead and edit it.

How do I remove a lead from a campaign?

  1. Go to Leads page
  2. Find the lead
  3. Click three-dot menu > Edit
  4. Clear the campaign field
  5. Save

Or use bulk actions to move leads to “No Campaign”.

Why are some contact icons grayed out?

Grayed out icons mean that data is missing:

  • Gray email icon = No email captured
  • Gray phone icon = No phone number
  • Gray LinkedIn icon = No LinkedIn URL

Consider enriching leads to add missing data.

Can I undo a lead conversion?

Yes. If a converted lead needs to be reverted:

  1. Mark as Lost (with reason)
  2. Then use “Restore from Lost” action
  3. Lead returns to converted status

How long is lead data retained?

All lead data is retained indefinitely. Deleted leads are permanently removed and cannot be recovered.

Why can’t I edit a lead?

Check that:

  • You’re signed in
  • The lead wasn’t captured in a locked period
  • You have edit permissions for your role

Contact your admin if issues persist.

Can I import leads from CSV?

CSV import is an admin feature. Contact your Super Admin to bulk import leads.
